I was looking for this knive for years. Finaly a good friend of mine came up with it and sold the Puma 3573 to me. It is probbebly made before 1964.

The Puma is in the middle. Next to it are two German Ramo made clones wich are both nice on their own.

But the quality of the Puma stands out by far.

Nice score! From the sheath style looks to be a vintage Puma boot knife made quite a while back. Read once they started marking the year of manufacture in code nos. starting in 1964. Still have my Skinner from 1966 with the Pumaster steel. Think it cost me around $30 back then. Heard they are now 440C stainless steel now. The vintage stuff bringing some good money these days.

The clones appear to be a full flat grind (FFG), while the Puma has a saber grind. These days on the knife forums, everybody seems to want the FFG for “sliciness”). Quality aside, without knowing what you would use it for, it is hard to know which to pick.

Puma has been around for a long time. First time I have seen this model. Sure can bet real quality.
