I just picked-up a Glock 43X. I've never had any issues with my Glocks (except the G42 when they first came out), but this one had some failure to chambers during the first 50+ rounds.

I took it back out for another range session and put 60 trouble free rounds through it. Including Federal HST 124 gr. +P. I shot it one handed, both weak & strong without issue. I wanted to verify it wasn't a limp wristing issue.

I chalked it up to just needing a break-in session, but I've never done that with any other Glock I've owned (and it's been many).

Anyone else have to "break-in" their new 43X?

I don't have a 43X (yet) but I have three Glocks and my son has two, never a failure w/ factory ammo, although once w/ reloads.

What ammo were you using on your first try?
 
I have a Glock 48 but not the 43x.No trouble with the 48. I am embarrassed on this forum to say how many glocks I have . But except for ammo issues with my 40’s never a problem.Just to be forthcoming on this forum I own more smiths than Glocks.But my boss requires Glocks.
 
I have the 43x and have not 1 issue other than some rusting problems... have approx 1500rds threw it...

I herd something about rounds wont eject unless you have the proper slide velocity... something in the design of the newer glocks just rumors

CCI Blazer brass 124 gr. Never a problem with any other gun.

I'll put another 50 rounds through this and call it GTG.
 
Just keeps shoot'n

Here's my experience with the little Glock 43X, and
I'm not a Glock person, and first time shooting one.

The 43X I shot was a Rental, well used, and the
Magazine Lips were in rough shape.

Our Indoor Range has one you can rent.

Found out a couple of things;
It was produced to be Slimline (which I like).
X = Extra rounds then old compact 43.
Grip fits my hand/palm perfect.
Very Very Accurate at 10yds (once you get use to
to the Trigger Pull).
A total Black Finish one is Cool, but 2 Tone is Ok.
(not a Deal Breaker).
Magazine Lips rough/chewed up from Rentals,
Glock just kept shooting, zero problems.
I Qualify for Glock Discount.
9mm 50rds is inexpensive.

Cons;
Empty Shells hit me in the Fore Head quite a few times
(ricocheted down from Shoot Lane).
After 50 rounds, Trigger Finger felt like I was going
to get a blister.
Had to get use to the 2 Stage Trigger or Group was
6" low on target.

It is the first Glock I have ever fired. I'm glad I Rented it
and tested it out. I like!

I already had a G43 that I hadn't had any issues with.

I like the 43X, as it holds 10+1. Where as the 43 with +2 extension is about the same grip length, but only holds 8+1.

And the 43X works in my same 43 holsters. I may get my hands on a 48 one day.
 
I have a G-48 and also had experienced a FTF once? Maybe twice? This was when the pistol was brand new and amongst the first 100 rounds fired. I since polished the feed ramp and chamber and fired a few more hundred rounds and no issues at all. All the ammo fired so far was new in a variety of weights; 115/124 to include NATO. Nice thin compact pistol!
 
Don't have a 43x but did have some issues with both my wife's and my G43s. Massood told me that lighter bullets in +p and +P+ may cause the slide to function TOO quickly. He recommended bullets in the 140gr area or 124gr standard power. Since witching, we've had no problems.
