Colt SAA .44 Special
Just got the gun back today after having the Sambar Stag stocks fitted and installed. He also cut an 11 degree forcing cone and did an action tune.
Spring Creek Armory did the work. Owner is Bill Fuchs.

Bill does nice work. My favorite cartridge in my favorite gun. What generation? Those grips are terrific.

Love .44 special. Have two S&W's but no SAA right now. Once had Andy Horvath convert a 3 screw .357 Ruger to .44 special but sold it. I have an early 2nd Gen 4 3/4 .357 Colt that I have thought about converting but 4 3/4 .357's are sort of rare so might not be a good idea.

Thanks for sharing! Beautiful. Love the grips and the fact
that you had it tuned. All Colt SAA's need to be tuned.
I collect second gen's and have a least one of each year
they were made. I have been shooting a pair of second gen
357's since 2001 in cowboy action. Thousands and thousands
of rounds and zero.....yes, you heard me, zero problems.

Cool .44 special..
I picked up this second gen .357 a few
months ago that had the wrong grips.
I think stags would look great on it...
Thanks for the info.
This SAA is a fairly low production in this
configuration.

I don't generally like nickle plated guns, but yours is an exception. Very, very nice.

Stags on nickle look fantastic. Send it to Bill and have him add a set of fire blued screws.

I have to say Bgrafsr, that’s one good looking SAA.
Probably one of the finest to my eye.

Very awesome OP. Only thing that beats a Colt SAA is a Colt SAA in .44 Spl

Looks good. I have a 44 SAA I got around 1985. A few years later my wife had some ivory made for it as BD gift.

Is it a shooter? Load a 240 grain hardcast SWC to about 750 fps.

Colt SAA .44 Special
No fancy grips on mine....never wanted to ship them out to be fitted. Although there are times that I wish I did.....here is my .44sp with .45lc siblings.

My 3rd gen .44 SAA is in 7 1/2”. Got it used in a gun deal 20 plus years ago. Still haven’t shot it. Maybe tomorrow.
