I'd been looking for a small sized 9mm for concealed carry to replace my Ruger LCP .380 I've had for many years. Was perusing a regional gun store website last night and they had a Kimber Micro 9MM 2020 Shotshow Special in Matte Black marked down $100 to $499. Called them as soon as they opened this morning to verify they had it in stock and headed to the store to make the purchase.

I see them around and am sometimes tempted. They are good looking guns in a very concealable format.

I have one in stainless and really like it. It is accurate for my old eyes and very nice for concealed carry. I typically carry a 1911 commander but carry the micro when going to church because it is easier to conceal

Mine have proven to be excellent guns (I have 2), no issues, accurate & not even a hiccup. The only thing is you need to train your brain that it's a single action w/ thumb safety, not the double action only you had. When things go south there's no time to think & you react how you practice.

As gorgeous as those Kimbers might be that's their biggest problem for traditional double action shooters. If you've resolved that training issue then enjoy your new weapon!!!!

makes nice gun. I have looked at, and handled the Micro 9 many times. Two things have kept me from buying one, 1. the small thumb safety is very hard fro me to manipulate, due to its size and stiffness. The stiffness will ease but it won't grow any larger.
2. The lack of the beavertail safety like on 1911's. I will probably buy a compact Kimber .45, with a larger thumb safety and beavertail safety.

I bought one a few months ago before the pandemic hit Iowa. The first time I took it to the range I was very disappointed. I used my reloads that had worked just fine in my full sized 9mm Kimber 1911. The Micro 9 would not feed them at all. I had a single shot pistol at best. It would not function for more than 1 or 2 rounds before either stove piping or double feeding.
I trudged back to the house dejectedly. As I walked past my pond I entertained thoughts of pitching the Micro 9 in. I pouted in the house for a few minutes and picked up some factory 115 grain rounds and headed back to the range.
The silly thing worked perfectly!!! I have put over 100 rounds 115 grain ball ammo and 20 rounds of Hornady 115 grain Critical Defense rounds with out a hiccup. Go figure!
I also had been carrying a commander sized 1911 for CCW until purchasing the Kimber. It fits in my front pocket in a small cheap nylon holster perfectly. Either wearing jeans or dress slacks at church. JA

I have a Sig 938. Bought a couple of Kimber 8 round magazines for it, They work just fine.
I think the Kimber is a much better looking pistol. Is it available with tritium sights?

I haven't got brave enough yet to try a 9mm that small. Walther PPS M2 is as small as I've gone so far.
