Just got this P227, a LEO trade in. No holster wear and doesn't appear to have had many rounds fired. Sig isn't making these any longer. The 10 round mags work fine but the 14 round mags didn't function well from what research I've done. Some of the Sig folks say Sig missed the mark with this - only two more rounds that the P220 and with a larger grip. I like it though but I've never received a gun with a zip tie as an added accessory.

I just bought a New Old Stock P227 and like it a lot.... It’s only two rounds more than the P220 but I like the way it fits my hand.........and 10+1 rounds of .45 is a lot of horsepower in a DA/SA format.... it may be an acquired taste but I, for one have acquired it.....

Congratulations on a fine addition.

I have had my P227 for some time

This issue with the 14 round magazines is the subject of much Internet Urban Legend.

The original 14 round mags that were shipped in the plastic bags has the magazine notch cut out of spec ever so slightly. I had three that were iffy.

As far as I know all of the 14 round magazines that shipped in the boxes were packaged after the problem was solved (so some of the bagged ones will work, just no easy way to tell them apart). The five boxed ones that I own are all working just fine

The dealer didn’t say where these were from but they were LEO issued with night sites and three 10 round mags. The sights are still nice and bright. I may try to find a 14 round mag just to try.

Very nice!
I have since read about the notch and spring issue which supports what you said.

The PSP P227R has a unique serial number with a PSP prefix, i.e. PSPXXXXX, and the PSP Trooper logo on the top of the slide. Night sights, SA/DA, 10rd mag w/2 more on the duty belt. Duty holster is Safariland and holsters the pistol with the light attached.

Nice ...... for awhile there they seemed to be changing guns more often than I changed my underwear. :D

I've always liked the P227. Never bought one though having so many other 45 acp guns. I do have a 229 in 40 and a 220 in 10mm though. I like the classic P series guns, not a fan of the sig plastic.

Nice Grips!

I really like the look of your wood grips. Can you tell me if the grip feels thinner, thicker, or the same as the factory polymer grips? Also, what brand are your wood grips? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, CH.
