French Ruger 101 FACTORY LETTER

I purchased this Ruger 101 used my French railway police. I requested a letter from Ruger and it arrived today.

Ruger has always had a connection to the French. In addition to revolvers, they sold Mini 14s to the French government.
 
It shows no sign of being dropped, which is typically expected of French guns. :D

The Traush grips are great. I got them on a French police surplus Model 10 I bought a couple of years ago. They're ugly, but they're ergonomically excellent, IMHO.
 
Yes, they had lanyards. I have a 3" 64 that had a lanyard on it. It came from the French Railroad Police.
 
The grip frame has been milled to allow the flat piece of metal to extend through the Traush grip tp make an attachment point for a lanyard to attach. The piece of metal in held in the grip frame by a large roll pin.
