Would really like to find one of these in 22 cal for the grand kids to plink with. Anyone here have any experience with one of these, or the quality of Uberti reproductions in general?
I have one chambered in .357 magnum. It is a neat little rifle-gun. I've never benched it to see what the accuracy potential is, but is minute-of-tin can.I bought mine about 15 years & the quality was quite good then. I haven't examined a new one.
I've looked and low for an original Remington rolling block chambered in my favorite caliber, .32-20. I have kicked around the idea of buying another Uberti and having it re-barreled to .32-20.
I also have an original Remington Model 4 in .22 LR. It is a fun little rifle also. Unfortunately, they are getting pricey.
There are two Italian Remington Rolling blocks both in 357 Mag, at Aumiller's Gun Store in Westerville, Ohio (614) 891-0656. Ask for Alex (the manager).
I'm in there every week at least once, they were there Monday!

Maybe look for a Stevens Favorite.........22lr
Would definitely consider it if I came across a nice one. The only ones I have seen are pretty beat at today's inflated prices. I can get over paying today's panic prices if its at least a nice specimen.
Almost a million made 188? to 1930
Might as well be 10 million, doesn't change the fact I have never, ever come across one around here. With a state population a 1/3rd of just your metro area, we don't have the variety and choices most of you take for granted. Anyway, back to the reason I created this thread, Uberti Baby Rolling Blocks.

The is a new Stevens Favorite on the big gun auction site right now. Says never fired and the hammer and falling block look like either MIM or investment castings. While not old style probably shoots. I have bought 2 Favorites, both with bad barrels, but was able to reline one and have a decent little fun gun and give my one brother a good stock for one he had missing a stock
