I picked up this pretty hard to find BRNO ZKM-611 last summer. I have been wanting one for years after passing on one we I lived in Calgary. Dead reliable and pretty accurate. I just had a trigger job done on it so will head out on Wednesday with it.

I like it and thanks for sharing. Looks like you got the one with checkered walnut. My book says also offered in beechwood. Says importation began in 1992. Suggested retail of $465 back then. Does not say how many produced unfortunately. good luck with groups.

You're going to really like that rifle. I have 2 of them, one I shoot and the other is NIB.

I liked them so much I started collecting serial numbers on them and did so for a few years. There was absolutely no info on them which was a little frustrating. I found that they were made in 1992,93,94,95,96,none in 97 or 98, and the last ones in '99. There were 5 different importers and I also found that there were a couple subtle differences in manufacturing. I think that there were only 11-12K of these built. BTW, if you're looking for spare magazines be prepared for a little sticker shock.

Yours appears to be an Intrac import, made in '99, probably has a non-checkered safety button and the lower receiver more than likely has a purplish tint to it.

A pic of my "shooter".

I have been a fan of Bruno rifles since a young man, buying my first - a 1948 .22LR - purchased from the proceeds of shooting and trapping rabbits. Since then I have owned a .223, .308 and 12G over/under shotgun, all by Bruno and found them all excellent fire-arms. At 80 my hunting days are now over, but I have still retained the 1948 .22 and can still head shoot a rabbit at 75 yards with it...

Nice. I like them, and kick my self in the butt for not buying one when I had a chance several years ago. BRNO / CZ makes a nice rifle.

Happily, at least in 'normal' times, there is a variety of .22 Mag ammo to test, both in rifle loads and short-barrel handgun defensive ammo. Wondering how these defense loads shoot in a rifle barrel. I prefer the original CCI 40gr HP cartridge; of course, this is used in a derringer and mini revolver! ;)

I thought this thread was about that expensive 7.62x25 Tokarev on steroids pistol, the FK BRNO.

It was already ridiculous enough that they made a 9mm conversion kit for that massive pistol, .22WMR would have been straight over the top.

I have always wanted one of those. The first one I saw was maybe 20 years ago. It was missing the magazine and front sight blade. I found out that it was going to difficult to find those items so I passed. Then a couple of years ago at a gun show a dealer had one new in the box. It had beautiful wood. He wanted $1100 for it. I didn't want it that bad.

But as I own several .22 WMR handguns and have a good hoard of ammo (I learned my lesson after the last shortage) I'd still buy one if I could find one that was priced reasonably.

I love my BRNO ZKM 611. It's reliable as can be with a variety of ammo. Accurate to about 1 MOA or there about. Like yours, it has handsome wood.

BRNO rifles are hard to beat.
