Last week when I stopped in at my lgs they were telling me about the S&W 351PD they had gotten in. Where is it I asked? Well, we have to send it back to S&W. OK, can I see it before you send it off, they knew I've been interested in the "C" model, the one without the lock. They brought the PD out and showed me that it came with a few bad scratches around the extractor rod housing. I was looking at it and told them that they might want to mention the barrel cant as well. What, they asked? I said barrel cant, the barrel is slightly canted, they looked and agreed that it was. They weren't real happy, even offered it to me at their cost if I would take care of the warranty return. No thanks I said, the lock you know.

Yesterday I stop by and was about to leave when I saw the Taurus. I looked at it, tried out the trigger, heavy DA about like the Smith but the SA was nice. It's not a lightweight like the S&W series but I figure the more weight the better the recoil, or lack of, will be. Another plus for me was the lack of a lock. I decided I would take it and the guy standing next to me said that if I didn't he was. Anyway, I'll try it out tomorrow.

CZU - you’re finding one of these is perfect timing for me, I am looking forward to your review. I have been looking for one for a few months. Only one LGS gets them in occasionally and they sell quickly, and LGS guy says no one has returned one or complained. Couple of online reviews have praised them, but like most people here, I don’t put much faith in the reviews posted online. I did finally find a Hi-Standard Sentinel snubby and have yet to take it out to fire it. Hopefully yours doesn’t have the excess play in the cylinder and wobbly yoke that Taurus has been famous for!
