Your “COOLEST” gun?
Ok, this question is very broad, out of any gun you own, what’s the coolest? Not to be confused with your favorite, the oldest, the most valuable, the newest, etc. Your coolest gun should be bad ask, somewhat unique maybe, but overall just cool!
Mine? This 2.5” Python. It’s just cool. I shoot with a gaggle of millennials and try to slowly expose them to older firearms. THIS is the one everyone gravitates to. Let’s see yours! (TIA)
A very close 2nd is my first year Winchester 9422. Once again, just super cool!

Toss up between my 3 1/2" 27-2 and Pre-War Heavy Duty. I've posted the 27 a few times, so I'll go with the HD. It's not pristine by a long shot, but I bet it could tell some stories if it could talk...

For my “coolest” over the years is this 3rd model singleshot. My son and daughters learned to shoot a handgun using it, as did my grandchildren.

Swedish Mauser that is about 110 years old. Shoots as straight as Billy Graham (no disrespect intended).
50 caliber hawken rifle built from a kit when that was popular.
I have others but these are probably my favorites

A Westly Richards under lever, hammer double in 450 3 1/4" Nitro Express! In no way a Best Quality rifle, this was a working man's gun! The cartridge came out in 1898 and these actions were discontinued in 1905. This is the kind of rifle that belonged to a Good Family's second son's second son! (My family was no that good, but I am the second son's second son!)

Don't really have anything that would be the "coolest", but I can submit this old .357 Magnum for consideration.
It's got a short barrel and a weird hammer, but the Patridge front sight pulls it all together, IMHO.
.............Enjoy

One of my SBR's would probably be amongst the coolest, but my Polytech AK is the one I wanted the longest. And yep it's a real picture of it I took in my living room.

When we have a shooting get together I have three that everyone wants to shoot. The first two are blackpowder, an 1870 Springfield Trapdoor in .50-70 and an 1881 Colt SAA in .45 Colt. The clouds of smoke from these two brings a smile to your face. The third is a little more modern, a Coonan .357. The .50-70 Trapdoor is the top one in the photo.

I have 2 guns that are about as far apart on the technology spectrum as possible but sadly neither are S&W's.
First is a 1878 Springfield Trapdoor. While the gun is not particularly accurate it is a blast to shoot, throwing those huge 405 - 500gr bullets down range and it always draws attention at the range. It is impossible to fire it without envisioning its place and use in history.
Second is my Full Auto HK MP5A2. Completely reliable and extremely accurate for what it is designed to do. Firing it suppressed is even more fun and it won't bankrupt you to exercise it every now and then.

I have two that consistently make my friends (who are not extreme gun enthusiasts) say wow. My RSR snubby (customized before the Alaskan became available) and my short AR. Now, these are not my favorites, or the ones that I'm most impressed with, but they do shoot great and even I think they're pretty cool.

My British Mark VI Webley revolver in the original .455 caliber. One of the local judges who is a member of one of my clubs would probably break his wrist reaching for his checkbook if I told him I was selling it.

"Coolest" is a tricky criterion. I have milsurps that other collectors would find very cool, but then I have modern guns that are cool because of the novel ways they operate.
In the milsurp world, I have a US built Mosin that has been through multiple rebuilds and likely served with Imperial Russia, folk in the Finnish revolution, the Finnish Civil guard and maybe their army in the wars against the Soviet Union. Another candidate would be my Enfield No.1 MkVI rebuilt as a No4 Mk1, one of 1025 or less.
For a modern weapon, I would say my Strike One or one of my Grand Powers are the coolest.

As of today it would be this one. 28-2 4" with moose grips by bigmtnman. Old school is cool.

I've got two that are pretty cool.
Top Right: 2nd Model .44 HE. Factory letter shows gun was shipped January 22, 1924 to Police Department, Joplin MO.
Center Right: 3rd Model .44 HE (Post War)
Letter states this gun was shipped July 22, 1946 to George Lawrence Co. Portland Oregon ordered for John H. Young, Portland Police Dept.
I wonder what stories these guns could tell?

Probably this Garrett Arms 1863 Sharps Cartridge Conversion;
or my 3-1/2" 27-2 (BTW, the 3-1/2" 27 is by far the coolest S&W)
Best regards,

Many of my friends rank my Winchester 1887 lever shotgun at the top of the cool scale:
I'm partial to my Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless .32acp pistol.
But it's not the gun itself that makes it cool, it's the combination of the cigar box that I converted into a hideout for it, that carries it over to being cool:

The High Standard “Space Gun” was pretty radical in the late 1950’s. I guess that counts as cool!

I think the "coolest" one I've got now is this USFA, SAA. I got it a few months ago, almost by accident. I'm not a single-action guy, but stopped to look at it in the case at the LGS. I thought it was a Colt until I asked to see it and noticed the letters US on the grip rather than the prancing pony I expected to see. It had the box, papers, cloth bag and such. I was going to put it back but my wife told me to buy it. "It's pretty."
I've got other pictures, but this one shows the case hardening so well, I end up using it all the time.
I still didn't really know what it was until some people on the forums educated me.
One other candidate. At least I think it's "cool" and maybe someone else will. A Umarex replica "Thompson M1A1" in CO2, BB. All metal construction, with the exception of the plastic wood furniture, it looks, feels and operates just like the real thing. Fires full and semi auto, loads 30 BB's (and two CO2 cartridges) into the magazine. Comes in around 9 pounds.
Personally I always wanted a Thompson, but a real one is just out of the question. This is about as close as I'll ever get to one I suppose.
Kimber Micro 9 for size comparison. It's a big, solid feeling piece.

My 1930ish Westernfield 30 double-hump. On the far right in this pic off the net. One guess what it’s named!

The coolest is hard for me to choose. A pre64 M70 7MM carbine comes to mind as does a Heym double rifle complete with hammers and a Jones underlever in 500 BPE. At the end of the day I'll have to go with my Grandfathers 1905 M&P Target.
I choose this over all others for several reasons. A) it was my Grandfathers and one of a very few things I have from a man I never knew but seem to have a lot in common with. B) It's a time capsule back to the time when craftsmanship meant something. C) a squib load caused a bulge in the barrel and as new guy here a forum member came up with the exact barrel for replacement and got Gramps gun back up and shooting. Thanks go to Weatherby who I'll always associate with Gramps gun. D) It got me to this place which I have come to learn and enjoy being here very much.

Can't really define "cool" at my age
As the title says, I can't really personally define "cool" at my age (76) so I guess I'll rely on my 9 kids, their spouses, and even 2 of the 13 grandkids.
They are all shooters and plinkers, no collectors (yet), but they sure run the gamut in ages from 12 to 49, so I think they would surely know "cool" in modern terms when they see it....and the winner(s) are.....? Every time out to the outdoor range (sometimes the indoor range)....no matter what pistols, revolvers, rifles or shotguns are out for choosing...the top three choices always seem to be: M1 Garand (IHC postage stamp), 1943 Ithaca 1911A1, Nylon 66, Seneca Green...all stock and original and fun for all.
Cool???? You have to judge, none are in the league of the above posts (which are most definitively COOL) but cool to my crowd.

COOooolest is tough..........
#1 My Dad's 6" Colt New Service worked over by and with King's adjustable sights . Dates to 1938/39. And to top it off it's chambered in S&W .357 magnum.
It was his primary duty, and centerfire target gun until about 1970.
#2 My 3" 66-3s with Spegel Boot grips.... a -4 is my primary concealed carry revolver. Same proportions barrel and frame as a 3 1/2" 27...... same cool look and easier to carry in a Milt Sparks Summer Special!
#3 Sig C3 custom shop; a 1911 style .45 that mates a Officers model frame with a Commander length slide. CCOs were what all the cool kids were building and concealed carrying in the 80
#4 Wilson Combat Centurion Tactical.
#5 S&W 3913NL with checkered wood grips.... what I've carried for about 30 years now ..... and what Bond should have been issued!
#6 4" 27-? (recessed but not pinned) with Executioner's stag grips. 4" 27s were special order only until about 1980 and are the least common barrel length. Mine's about +90%; so nice enough to be proud of but not so nice to be a safe queen!

I guess my M29 Classic DX 5" bbl with Culina American Holly would be my coolest, because they only made about 200 of them

My coolest gun is a toss up between my King's Gun Works custom 1948 Colt Commercial Gov't-
And my Krebs Custom Guns built "Crowbar" S&W 28-2 in .45ACP-
Honorable mention goes to my Clark's Meltdown Colt 1991A1 Compact-

Mine is not even a handgun, but it is my smallbore target rifle 1813 Anschutz SN 001 that I bought from Lones Wigger Jr. it even has a USAMTU barrel on it.
It is a piece of history from the worlds greatest rifleman. He and his dad were dear friends of mine and wonderful mentors.
