I recently acquired a new Walther CCP M2+ in 9mm.
I had a CCP M1 which was a good shooter, but a nightmare to field strip. I mean putting a Ruger Mk1 back together was a piece of cake compared to it.
So I sold it.
Walther must have listened to owners and came out with the M2, which is much easier to field strip.
The + is the new slide that allows the owner to put any Glock 17/19 sights on the pistol.
The pistol comes with a rear sight that's adjustable for windage, and a different front sight to change out to change the POI.
It shoots well and fits well in the hand. It's accurate and has a nice trigger.
I shot 5 - 5 shot strings, Norma 124gr FMJ, 25 shot total, 25ft indoors.
I had 2 incidents where the pistol did not go into battery, not a FTF/FTE. I'm not too concerned about it, it's a new gun. If it continues after a hundred rounds, then I'll reach out to Walther. Their customer service is excellent.
The one downside is that it is not southpaw friendly. The safety is only on the left side of the pistol. Although the mag release button is reversible I prefer the ambidextrous lever of the P99AS.
I think Walther has a winner here. German made quality for less than $500.
The one thing that I don't like is the name. CCP is too close to CCCP. I hate Communists.
