BUL Firearms?

Does anyone have any experience with, or knowledge of BUL 1911 pistols? I was in a gun shop I don't normally go in the other day, and seen a selection of 1911's made by a company called BUL. They seemed well made, and I was told they are made in Israel. Prices were in the $800 to $1200 range depending on the model.

Yes I have shot a number of their guns. Very reliable, well fitted. When you get into their match guns they are in my opinion its as good or better than those being offered at twice the price.
The first Bul I handled was full size 2011, 9mm the slide was incredibly smooth and light so much so told the Bul rep it cannot be reliable. It functioned perfectly. I then accused him of specially tuning the gun for hos personal use, he assured this is how it left the factory. I spent a couple of hours firing different configurations. I ordered a 1911 UL it took a long time to come in but was worth the wait, has their component trigger upgrade and gets a lot of attention at the range due to the UL cuts. A friend ordered the same gun I shot for the first time, it performed exactly as the reps gun I had shot.

I picked up a Bul 1911 Govt. Model in 9mm a while back. I am very impressed with the fit and finish of it. I was finally able to get out to the range the other day. The trigger pull is around 3-1/2+ pounds. The 9mm caliber coupled with a great trigger and the weight of the full sized, all steel 1911 pistol make this baby one sweet shooter!

They'll blow your mind for the money.
It's just insane how well they shoot.
Slide is like it's on ball bearings - and the trigger is nothing short of perfection. At least mine is.

And they also make an incredible 2011 .45 auto.
This one is pretty special, it's the SAS II Commander Street Comp- and the Comp does indeed work as she shoots softer than my 1911 .45
She holds 14 rounds and the trigger breaks like glass at 2.5 pounds. She's a real witch.
I actually have a Pure Kustom holster made just for this pistol too. It's leather but, with the strength of kydex! Super nice and expensive too.
Anyways, here's some pics. Btw, Bul went up on their pricing and will not offer .45 auto in their SAS II models (2011 guns) Mine was $1,580 and now they will be $2,380 and only available in 9mm

Seriously guys, I shoot it much better than I did my Dan Wesson Specialist (my 1911)
It honestly reminded me of shooting my Sig German MasterShop X5 pistols. The trigger is so nice, the action incredibly smooth, it hits where you point and shoot. Honest Outlaw said his was just like his Wilson Combat. Bul is the best kept secret there is.
And just to think they were $890
This year the 1911 models will be $1,350 - but their worth more than that imo.

I've encountered just one so far, a classic single stack 1911 with a price tag of about $3k. That one was indeed very nice, on par with much more expensive 1911 pistols.

But Good Stuff

I handled a couple at a local shop some time ago and almost picked up a 9mm Commander size. Wish I did. I am looking at a 9mm Commander EDC model when I can locate one. I was very impressed with the fit and finish.
