Default Charles Daly Italian made 1911's

Does anyone have any knowledge, experience, or opinion of Charles Daly's new 1911 made in Italy that you would be willing to share with me? I know that in the past Charles Daly's pistols did not have a good record; that is, manufacturing of them was shoddy at best and owners reported numerous problems with them. I believe these were made in the Phillipines. Several videos and reviews on the new ones indicate a much improved pistol and very well built and reliable. The local Bass Pro Shop has two of the field grade in stock, a .45 and a 9mm, each being priced at $450.00. I like the old school government look of them, plus they have the series 70 configuraton. I do not really need another high end .45 1911, as I have an Ithaca 1943 1911 that was customized and accurized by Jim Clark in 1961. I don't want to spend a lot as it will be a general shooter, knock around, and truck gun. If anyone currently owns one, your opinion will be greatly appreciated, as any other opinions also. Thanks.

If you're considering the Daly 1911, I'd look at the Tisa's too then.

I briefly owned one of the field grade models, but traded it away without shooting it. Fit and finish seemed very good for the price. Slide was tight, everything looked good.
