Thought I needed another 9mm revolver to accompany my SW Model 547 when I shoot 9mm, so I picked up the CA 9mm

Another moon-clip-less design and should be a good shooter

3.25lb SA trigger pull on my wheeler gauge and the 5-shot 9mm gun weighs in at 28 oz

A bit ugly with no underlug… but it is a range toy

Range report to follow and some competition with the SW M547 should be in order !

Cool variation on this model, didn't know it existed. Looks as though it will be plenty muzzle heavy with the bull barrel even without an underlug.

Looking forward to your report. I have a .45 Pitbull, and use it as my truck gun. I love it. It's a little larger than I want to carry, but I have considered putting the CA boot grips on it, and getting their new IWB holster.

Really a fan of my Bulldog/Pitbull cross…wanted a matching caliber sidearm when I got my Henry Sidegate in 45 Colt. I bought one of the 45 Bulldogs. Then around here 45 Colt ammo evaporated. There was still some limited stocks of 45 acp. I contacted Charter and found out they would gladly fit a 45 cap cylinder and Crain assembly from their Pitbull line. I thought $150 was a reasonable investment for the dual caliber capability. It took longer than I had hoped. They only have the parts when building a run of the 45 Pitbull. But the gun is wonderful. (I think they may have smoothed the trigger action a little.). It’s surprisingly accurate for a snub gun and almost a pleasure to shoot, especially in 45 acp. You should find that long barrel job will really spoil you!
