Default Seecamp again?

Over the years I’ve had four Seecamps. Two Milford .32’s and a .380 and a .32 from Southwick. I love the little pistols and their craftsmanship. I wish I had kept one of the Milford .32’s, but sold it long ago. I traded the .32 Southwick for the .380, thinking it was a better gun with more punch, but alas I hated shooting it, so I sold it too.

Anyway, I found one locally, a Milford .32 from around ‘94 I think from the 0245xx serial no., that seems pretty reasonable at $500. It only has one mag and “a few loose rounds”, but I still have a full box of the original .32 Silvertips for it.

So does that seem reasonable to you guys in today’s market?

Don't know. Louis Seecamp built some fine little pistols back in the day. He's mostly forgotten now. If you like it buy it. Really doubt you could get you $$ back down the road.

I just bought one (a Seacamp) for $450 in CA so $500 in not CA seems a tad high to me. Also had box and 2 or 3 spare magazines.

Nearly 3500 trouble free rounds ( factory recommended ammo only ) through my 2015 .32 Southwick. Love this little pistol; it is my EDC carried in a Jackson Leather pocket holster.

We bought our son a new Southwick built .32 for Christmas in 2015, IIRC. With a spare mag and a box of Silvertips it was around $550.00. I liked it so much I bought myself a used Milford .32 a few years later for around $450.00 or so. There is no discernible difference between the two guns other than the words. The Southwick gun isn’t as picky on ammo as my Milford, but parts interchange and both function well. Magazines in my area run $35.00-$40.00 each, and have gotten scarce.

There is a guy on a local forum who deals in the “superior” Milford guns and generally asks $500.00+ for them. The price on your local gun doesn’t seem out of line but in my opinion, a Milford is unnecessary as a Southwick works just fine.

This is the Milford.

I have a 32 Southwick and a 380 Milford (one of the first to come off the line).
Other than the 380 being a bit on the unpleasant side, imo, not any difference.

The Cadillac of pocket guns, imo.

I would pay $500 for a Milford gun. I own 2 in 32 and 1 in 380. The one Southwick I tried, should never have left the factory. 8t was a hot mess of problems.

I carry the 380 all the time. Well over 1000 rounds and it has been flawless. The . 32s have been the same.

Saw a Milford .32 this weekend at a gun show $550 asking price thought I needed for a minute but then passed. Nice pistol probably could have gotten it for $500 with a nice pocket holster.

Well, it wasn’t meant to be. I was working up in the area where the guy lived and he finally messaged me just before 7 this evening after I had already gotten home. Just too far north to make a special trip for it. I might be back up that way next week sometime and if he still has it…we’ll see.

I have owned a Milford 32 since the early 90s. I ordered and bought 3 with consecutive serial numbers from Seecamp for myself and a few LEO buddies while on the job. I did not know there was a difference. Is there a quality difference? Mine has never even hiccuped but I have only shot WW Silvertip.

My early Milford functions fine with Speer Gold Dot 60gr JHP. I haven't used the Silvertip's. Ideal pocket pistol.

I bought a new Seecamp 32 about 6 months ago.
Finally found some silver trip ammo and it works well.

I also found 32 Hornady Critical Defense and put 3 magazines thru my gun with no problems.

All set for ammo for a while.

I have two - one in stainless one in black. Both in .32. Love them. Think they are both Milford. Didn't know there was cache to that.
