It’s hard to pick a favorite but this one is my 1948 (birth year) M&P. The second one is a 1964, I think, model 10. The M&P belonged to a Chicago police officer and was carried off duty. He sold it to a friend of mine in 1960 and then was sold to me a few years ago.
The M10 appears to have spent most of its life in a sock drawer. I doubt there had been a box fired through it.
I think my love for snub nose was inspired by Joe Friday. I used to love Dragnet, Peter Gunn Mr Lucky. Basically I loved about any detective show or western of the 50’s and 60’s.
