Need information on Thunder Ranch grips.

Found the Thunder Ranch 1911 Slimline cocobolo grips pictured. Looked them up. I found references to Thunder Ranch and Les Baur (spelling?). Only found one reference to these grips but no details. Does Thunder Ranch even still exist? Does anyone know about these grips? Who made them and approximately when? Any idea of value? Thanks

I believe those are off an older Wilson Combat Thunder Ranch 1911.

Thunder Ranch? Really? I know you live pretty far south, but that is probably one of 3 “shoot in’ schools” that I would whole heartedly advise every gun owner Togo to at least once in their lifetime….

Google TR and about 6 gillion hits will pop up. Clint is one of the best instructors that you will ever see. But the Ranch is up for sale, and Clint is getting pretty grey in the whiskers, so go soon if you wish to get some world class instructions. His wife is pretty good at it also.

Thanks S&Wchad, that should help me find 'em. Should have guessed, Mike bought a lot of things from Wilson.

Rick, I did google Thunder Ranch before posting but no i hadn't heard of them before and I can't blame it all on my location. Over the past three months dealing with this estate collection, I've learned how little I actually knew about guns despite being a gun owner for nearly 50 years. The people on this site have been generous with their knowledge and tolerant with my ignorance. I really appreciate it.
