My son is assistant manager for a couple pawn shops. Today he called me to let me know they were marking down some firearms and there was an Astra Constable that I might find interesting. I asked the price and at $230 decided it was worth a look. He was correct, the condition is very good but only has one magazine. Stopped by the range on the way home and had one FTF with each of the first two magazines I fired. A little oil to the slide rails and no more problems. Reminds me of a PPK and since I already reload 380 I didn't have to think about the purchase too long.

Yeah, even with four other 380 ACP pistols in the safe I'd have had a hard time turning that one down at that price.
Now you need to show us some pictures of the little darlin' - even cell phone pictures are better than nuthin'...

I have owned the exact same pistol for several years. Mine came used with 2 magazines. The previous owner said he had failures to chamber. I did too until I polished the feed ramp. Functions perfectly now.
The price you paid, was a steal!

Here are a couple, the engraved one is in 380 and the other in 22LR. Both are great shooters.

I had a .32 Astra Constable back in the day. Was lots of fun to shoot. What it was traded for I can't now recall. Wish I could turn up another .32 Constable.

The Astra Constable is SUPPOSED to remind you of a PPK. That's the whole point! I had one, NIB, for years. It was unfired and it's so many years ago, so many moves, and a fire, that I cannot recall if it was stolen or sold. They're very cool pistols.

Had one in 22. I shot the bejezzus out of that thing. It went to the range every time. I eventually managed to wear it out. I suspect a spring set would have cured it but I never could find one.

The Constable is a good looking pistol at a great price compared to a Walther PPK. The Bersa Thunder is similar and my .22 Thunder has a great DA trigger pull, something most PPKs will never have.
