Sort Of A Rare Charter Arms Revolver

I would think that the CA revolver chambered for the disastrous 9mm Federal rimmed cartridge would certainly be one of their more unusual offerings. I know it was made for only a very brief period in the late 1980s. I have seen boxes of the ammunition, but never once a revolver that fired it. Does anyone know how many were sold? Or how many out there reading this own one?

This fiasco could have been easily avoided if anyone involved with the project at either CA or Federal had a few working brain cells. Evidently they did not.

That is a neat CA Police Bulldog. I am among those who had no previous awareness of its existence. It appears to have been in production for a fairly long time period, but they just may not have sold many of them.

I think Goetz defended himself in 1984 and DW came out in the early 70’s. Actually he was lauded by many New Yorkers who were sick and tired of rampant crime in “Fear City.” Nonetheless your point stands and I admire him for doing what was necessary. He should’ve never talked to the police without a lawyer. He had PTSD from being violently attacked before and the corrupt city government refused his permit to carry a CCW. He’s definitely a unique guy.

Let’s not forget Chapman murdering John Lennon with a 38 Chatter Arms. Oddly enough Chapmen bought it Hawaii of all places. I had a 38 CA Undercover which currently resides with my ex wife. Not nearly as nice as MK’s though.

I wish S&W made something comparable now. The CA I had was a solid no frills snub. Really would be the cats pajamas to have a 6 shot in that size envelope.

Nice gun! I'm a new CA owner, a 3" barreled .357 Magnum 6 shot. I'm hoping the action & cylinder, moving parts, etc., ease up a little. Seems like a solid piece. Your gun really looks nice. I'll shoot mine some day! The trigger pull gauge in SA/DA is very respectable, I think under 2# & 10#, if I remember right. Nice gun there, thanks for showing.
