I was tired of the hassle to clean my Mark II, breaking it down & reassembly, so looked on a nearby gun store's website & seen they had a Davidson's model for sale for $629.00. I called to confirm they had it the next morning & went & picked it up. It came with a Riton MRPD 2 Red Dot sight & a nice case. I listed the Mark II on a regional auction website & had it sold to a guy 7 miles away within 3 hours.

Nice score. Good little .22. I bought a MKIV 22/45 a couple of years ago and dressed it up a little. It's a good performing pistol and way easier to field strip than it's Mark Series predecessors. But my Browning Buck Mark 5.5 Field is inherently more accurate than the 22/45 with a variety of different ammo.

What ammo does it shoot the best, as well as best plinker ammo?

It grouped best at 25 yds (off a bench rest) with Wolf Match Target. CCI SVRN and CCI Mini Mag HP coming about tied for 2nd. For all-around plinking you can't go wrong with CCI SV or Mini Mags.

I never found the MKII or MKIII difficult, especially with a little practice.

I think I stole this from Faulkner a while back.

I have the fastfire also my 4. I wanted a lite but they are not on approved list in Cali. I could have done an LEO exemption but the store had this so I grabbed it. Don’t really mind the weight much after shooting it.

That is a fine looking ray gun. :p

Reminds me that my Mark II has been neglected lately and needs to go to the range.

I had a Mark 1 for about 40 years. 9 times out of 10 no problem with reassembly. The 10th had me cursing Bill Ruger. Good little gun for the $40 it cost me. I traded mine in on a new S&W revolver. Just didn't enjoy shooting it anymore.

I purchased a MK IV 22/45 Lite about two years ago . Yes it is easier to take down than either of my MK II's but there's no way I would sell either one of them ....I really don't find the disassembly/reassembly process of the MK II's very difficult . No more difficult than my 1911.
Your MK II sold quickly because there's a demand for them .
