1911 Grips, Keyes Fiber, Coltwood, Coltrock??
I probably should go to the 1911 Forum for this but I know there are plenty of 1911 experts here. These look like grips mentioned in the title but not exactly. I went through Clawson and Poyer books and did not find these. The right panel has 2558 molded in and left is 2557. Any idea as to who made these?

The reinforcing ribs don’t look like Colt. They appear to be Keyes but without the star. My guess would be postwar on a Keyes pattern. I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will identify them.

There were many 1911A1 plastic grip variations from different manufacturers. Would probably be better to post the question on the 1911 forum as some of the guys there seem to be deeply into the minutiae of 1911 components.

The folks a 1911forum had it figured out. They are commercial copies of GI grips. The major indicator... no FSN. The 2557/2558 don't count. Oh well. These and $2.50 will get me a cup of coffee.
