Hi all
Picked up on GB.
Previous owner did many upgrades @ cylinder and slide.
Took it out two times this week. About 100 rounds and 5 different brands of ammo three being hollow point.
Works perfect, dont like the sights much.
Kinda snappy but not as bad as i thought.
Weight is around 20 ounces.
The looser my grip the better i shoot it.
Regards
Mike

Kahrs are fun. While they can be "kind of snappy", I find them very controllable.

Years ago I got a P380 and was so impressed I got a PM9, then another, (different,) PM9, then a PM45. They are all very accurate and have always been trouble free. Other than my HK P9S they’re the only “plastic” pistols I own.

Unless you hold/shoot a PM45 it’s hard to believe how small, (but manageable,) they are. I remember reading here about the CS45 being the smallest .45 but the PM45 is even smaller.

My PM45 has factory N/S’s and I’m very happy with them.

I have this PM45 and two kahr K9 stainless.
Wish i kept my PM9, but now they are cheap so ill probably get another.
Had the CW9 also & a PM380.
Had one problem with the PM9 it was breaking mag followers but i was able to fix that myself.
Some hate em but im not one of them.
I think the K9 is their best gun they made.
The kahr company seems to put out some lemons i been lucky.

With all the noise around more recognized brands, Kahr pistols seldom get the exposure and credit for their compact size they should.
I started out with the P380 which came out of the box as a malfunction machine - it simply refused to reliably chamber! Naturally I bought into the 200 round break in waste of money notion, but after struggling to even get close to 50 rounds shot, I took a hard look at what was going wrong. Turned out the extractor was "frozen" by the installation of a coil spring so long that when fully compressed under the back plate, formed a near solid column! The cartridge rims couldn't squeeze in behind the extractor! I clipped a few coils, reassembled and from that day to this the little pistol has been a stellar performer! At <10 ounces empty and 5" long, it can easily tuck into simple holster that barely extends past the width of a belt. For practical carry it weighs next to nothing and brings seven rounds plenty potent .380 to the party.
It's worth mentioning that the P380 cost more than either of the 40 caliber pistols.
I picked up the P40 and love it's compact size - far more compact and lighter than any other brand, so I quickly ordered the PM40 since they were on sale during the lemming-like rush of FBI acolytes back to the 9mm - a great time to buy "forties"! The PM 40 is even smaller - smaller than my G43, about the same weight, but throwing a lot heavier hunk of lead (or copper)! Both the PM40 and P40 are very pleasant to shoot, not even close to the recoil I see others reference, and both have proven to be 100% reliable since shot number one which is how it should be!
As small as the P380 is, I included a picture of it next to the Seecamp .32 proving there's always somebody smaller out there!

If you really want to see some amazing comparisons go to the Handgun Hunter site and compare the Kahr PM45 with any other 45acp!

Love both Kahrs in 380acp & 40 S&W: the former disappears in a pocket holster, the latter I call the "smallest with the mostest". Shoots JHPs from 135 to 200gr beautifully: with any of Underwood or Buffalo Bore's 40 S&W offerings:eek: it really packs a knockout punch in a very small package.

Cheers!

P.S. I'll soon be loading up some of the Lehigh 140gr XPs, probably not as hot as the Underwood version but still pretty serious, anyway...?

Hey congrats on the new gun. Funny side note I saw that one on GunBroker.,I didn't know C&S even worked on kahr arms good to know. I decided just got a PM45 in stainless which I plan to add night sights soon. This is my third PM45 I've owned 2 other examples and those both ran 100% too.
My current PM45 has run flawless as well.,and is my EDC.

I don't think the PM45 can be beat for a small 45acp carry gun. I agree that the recoil on this gun isn't bad at all. The kahr CM40 I had was much more "snappy" in the recoil department. I don't think it recoils and worse than the PM9 I had with +P 9mm defensive ammo.

I actually sold my PM9 to find my PM45 and I'm not sorry I did. It's not much bigger than the PM9. The PM9 with a 7 round extended magazine in it had the same length grip as my PM45 with it 5 round flush fit magazine in it. I've owned several kahr guns over the years both steel frame an polymer and all have been reliable guns.

I've owned a shield 45 PC ,a Glock 36 and a Colt defender. I also tried an XDS45 mod2. While the XDS45 is small I think the kahr is slightly smaller still I think the PM45 is the smallest and lightest of the 45acp guns for carry. Enjoy your new gun and stay safe.

Had 4 or 5 kahrs a couple had small issues i fixed myself.
Have had a K9 for around 12 yrs and 3k rounds never a malfunction. Shoots all ammo and very accurate i think its their best gun and the only one i would recommend because many people have gotten lemons with the polymer guns.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy a kahr for myself.
Regards
