I wanna see some 100 year old guns!

I put this in the “other brands” sub forum because I want to see all brands (including S&W of course). But show us your favorite 100 year old gun - revolver, semi auto, rifle, whatever.

Personally, this is not in my wheelhouse but I do have a fascination with these old gems. Here’s my 1920 Colt (pre) Woodsman that I picked up recently for a bargain $350. Since then, I’ve put a few hundred can killing rounds thru it and enjoy the heck out of it! Just got a new/old Heiser for it to ride around in too (thanks Bill!) ….

I have more 100+ y/o guns than I care to mention, but this 7.5" Triple Lock Target is probably my favorite of them. A few Marlin long guns run close behind.

Here's a Colt Frontier Six Shooter that shipped the Copper Queen Mercantile, Bisbee, Arizona in 1916.

I just got this a couple months or so back and showed it then, but I’m not doing anything but Pirates n Dodgers. If the stocks came with the gun it’s from 1881-2, but it shoots.

I have a couple, but the Colt New Service in this photo is my favorite. It dates to 1916 and began life as a .455 Ely. Somewhere along the way, it was rechambered to .45 Colt, and belonged to someone in our own navy. The inside of one of the panels is marked, "Harrelson, R.L. USN". It's my only handgun with stag stocks.

Since the collector value was gone, I had the barrel cut to 2.50". I just love snubbies!

That hit home for me. I got my Remington 51 .32 acp over 10 yrs ago and it was a very good buy. Unfortunately when my wife looked at it, then held/pointed it she declared it was hers. “It was made for me, I want it it’s mine.” she said. (Well OK I think everyone feels that way.) Unfortunately she shot it and was convinced.

Luckily there were still NOS springs and firing pins available then that I got. It should run another 100+ yrs.

Saying this 51 is “my” favorite 100 yr old firearm says a lot. It surpasses my Colts, Mauser’s and yes a S&W or two.

August 1918 Eddystone and September 1918 for the S&W.

My first gen. Colt SAAs,(1875, 1902 and 1898) 1901 Bisley and M1911 of 1918 vintage. And my 1875 Schofield.

The newest of these period assault rifles is over 118 years old.

This "off brand" shipped to Dudley Do-Right in 1919!

This went to the Union Army in 1864.

... and this DWM Commercial turned 100 this year.

as for S&W's, I have (& had) 1917's.
New Century has taken over that "Favorite" status
A 5" original finish in .44 Special. Grips later but came with it,,

Colt Model 1909 U.S.Army in .45 Colt, made in 1909.

Colt Model 1903 Hammer in .38 ACP made in 1914. .38 ACP was eventually to be revamped into .38 Super.

These Over 140 Years Old…..

The oldest gun in my meager collection, and maybe favorite too, is this Colt Peacemaker shipped on January 1, 1875…..

Followed closely by this 1st Model Schofield Wells Fargo originally shipped on July 12, 1875…..

And then this 2nd Model Schofield shipped in 1876…..

And finally this Etched Panel Colt Frontier Six Shooter shipped on March 11, 1880…..
