I have a soft spot for the older Charter Arms snubbies. Giving the Smiths and Colts a day off. Solid little shooter and easy carry. Using the Lobo rig for appendix carry. Leather is not the best for appendix carry in the hot Charlotte, NC summer but probably not sweating a lot today.

Nice reminder that the Lobo actually works reasonably well for appendix carry. rely on a Kydex holster with a wing or claw most days. This is fine for J frame.

Very nice. I have 5 of the older, Stratford CT Charter Arms revolvers. I think they are great little carry/trail guns. My two 3 inch Pathfinders (one .22LR, one .22 Magnum) are among my favorites.

That's a fine looking Charter Off Duty. I currently own one Charter Arms revolver. It is not as refined as my Smith & Wessons but I like it for being affordable and reliable.

The vintage Charter Arms Revolvers were of good quality and very dependable, and I have owned several with zero issues. Like most other firearms of any established brand, their prices have escalated in the last few years. A local pawn shop has an older 2" Charter Arms Police Bulldog in .38 caliber in excellent condition for $390+9% tax, and won't budge off that price!! Seems like only yesterday, you could get a good condition used Charter Arms Revolver for $200 or less. But gasoline also used to be a $1.00 a gallon. I guess I'm stuck in the past but I refuse to pay that much for a Charter Arms revolver of any kind.

I always wanted one of the older Bulldog .44sp's. I have also thought of purchasing a Southpaw.38sp since I am a lefty, they are an oddity in that they are the only LH revolver made.

My old charter

Older charter with newer grips & double action hammer.
Never owned a newer one.
Regards

Good “old school” revolver & good leather. I too, am a fan.
The button is from the late 70’s/early 80’s.

I had an earlier Undercover close to 25 years ago and really liked it. Sold it to one of my female employees. She was having male harassment problems and thought she needed something defensive. Wish I still had it. I also have an early .44 Bulldog but do not shoot it much. It is my “Living Room” gun.

My former agency would only approve S&W or Colt for off-duty carry so I didn’t know much about the Charter Arms revolvers.

I've had a soft spot for the older Charters for years. Currently own four; A Bulldog, Pathfinder, and UC all in three inch, and a nickel two inch UC. The older Stratford and Bridgeport guns are hard to beat for the money.

My chief approved me carrying mine. After one armed encounter, I decided to carry something else (not because of the brand, but because of the .38 SPL caliber). I ended up with a S&W model 66 2 1/2" with .357 mag. 125 gr. JHP ammo.

I had a Stratford Undercover Offduty that a friend hounded me for. A really clean gun. In a moment of weakness I relented.
I’ve been on the lookout for another CA in similar condition.
I also have a 2” SS Pathfinder and a .44 Bulldog.
