Price check: Dan Wesson 715 Pistol Pack

A friend wants to sell me his DW 715 pistol pack for $1600. It's SKU 01935 with 4",6",8" barrels. CZ era kit.

It's in great shape and shoots very nicely.

Is this a good price for this pistol pack? Are there questions I should be asking?

BTW, this is my first post to this great forum. I'm a S&W fan and am gathering a respectable collection of old revolvers. More to come.

If it were Monson made that would be awesome. However, I’m not sure how collectible the CZ era revolvers are.

I am a Dan-Fan, and that's a great price, for sure. The CZ -built ones are excellent. You have nothing to fear, there.

To clarify, this one was made in Norwich by CZ. The box, replete with 3 barrel, tools, literature, has CZ molded into it. It'd a complete set in good shape.

I would negotiate hard as this CZ version is USED now . To me the CZ version has less value compared to the monson mass pistol pak but I do like DW revolvers and my'76 15-2 and my wife has her own .

Beuhler made a scope base and rings for the DW way back and I ran a 1"Ultra Dot 2moa red dot for many years on mine with an 8" barrel and shroud but today both ours wear 4" combo's.

Welcome! I see the CZ Dan Wesson revolvers went out of production 5 years ago. Do you know what the complete set sold for then?

On the presumption that they may never be made again, if it is a fair price and you will not be spending the rent money, I'd strongly consider just buying it. Haggling over $100 may lose you something it seems you want pretty badly. Good luck in your decision.

On GB the pistol packs average $500-$700 more than that asking price.
