I happened to call Mike LaRocca today to inquire about doing some work and he hold me he was closing for good in a week and a half. They didn’t renew his lease and at 72 he’s packing it in. He started his gunsmithing career way back at Pachmayr Gun Works in CA. A true craftsman who did some great work for me at very reasonable prices. Enjoyed visiting with him and he had a nice little gun shop counter also. I hadn’t been there in over a year but I’ll miss going there. If any of you knew him or appreciated his work maybe give him a call and wish him well.
Well, Because I live in a different part of the country I never had the opportunity to go there or even hear about Mr. LaRocca. Still, It saddens me that our country has lost another good gun business. I wish him well but I know he will be missed.
