Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers KIMBER 1911
I started this post on the BBQ GUN thread under S&W revolvers 1980 page . There were many other non S&Ws and non Revolvers so I am moving to this page. I got a great reception on the BBQ GUN thread so I decided to post more here in and out of the beautiful PURDY HOLSTER that I purchased for this 1 of 40 Collectors edition gun made for the 150th anniversary of the TSCRA in 2017 . I have shot it once , It is EXTREMELY accurate.
The S on grips and slide is our Families brand registered in McLennan County ,Texas in 1871.

I haven't worn a so-called barbecue gun in public for years but these did serve the purpose when I did it:

In January 1974 I was vacationing in Brownsville and almost joined the Southeast Texas Cattlemen's Association, just because it seemed the right thing to do at the time! Dad and I were scouting for some land on either side of the river. But the guys up by Harlingen wanted double what I could get better pasture in Ohio for. But I still wish I had joined anyway!
