My Browning reference is older and doesn't list them that way. My thinking is the B & the E are for the gauge and the ending 3 or the 5 stands for the grade.

Whole pictures and the area in front of the trigger guard often say what you have on Clitoris. I have 7 of them and which model is as important as the grade! Barrel Length and Stick/Fore End style, quality of wood all play into equation.

Stick, stock, we know what you meant. All I can add is Browning makes great shotguns. I only have 3, Bt99+, Citori Special Sporting Clay's, and Citori Lightening 20 Ga. Covers all my current needs, but really like the Grade 5's.

Of the 7 I have 5 are one form of Sporting Clays gun or another. 2 are Superlight, and one of those is a Grade VI. Broke down by gauges one 12, two 20's, two 28's, and two 410's. All except the Superlight use choke tubes, but I almost always use Skeet/IC.

I have two Superpose also, A 30" 12 F/F and a 28" 20 F/IC, both Lightnings.

When I started out, I owned Citori, Ruger Red Lable, and Berretta 686. They all have unique swing characteristics, and I scored best with the Browning O/U's. In automatics I prefer Berretta.
