Hi all
Just picked up a new PPK 32 acp, new manufacturer 2024. Serial number below 40.
First impression is good. Slide/frame fit kinda sloppy. Trigger pull in DA is shorter than My 1970 PPKS. SA seems the same.
2 mags & nice case. FFL friend selling for $899.00
Msrp is 969.00 ouch. That should keep sales slow?
Take a look.
Thanks

Certainly pricey, but it looks to be a great package and that case is lovely. I'm happy they're offering 32ACP in both the PPK and PPK/s as well.

Timely thread.

I am gonna order one in a week or so.

I have absolutely no need for this gun, this is strictly a want not a need.

I know that Beretta has said in the past not to use any ammo that is more than 130fpe in their Tomcat.

Any restrictions in the PPK?

I like it and am hoping for some range test results.

Good luck with it.

I would not use Cor-Bon, Buffalo Bore or run a steady diet at the 20.5K listed pressure limit, but the Walther is not a frame cracking occasional shooter. :D
The Tomcat's pop up barrel is a plus.
Have not seen any restrictions on the Walther site.
Our 380 S&Walther PPKs pistols use loads listed at 16K, and some hotter, and the triggers get nicer, especially in SA.
Very accurate guns.

Our two 22LR Bobcats run fine with standard velocity ammo, and don't need to wear out sooner with a steady diet of HV ammo.

Everytime I look at pics of the new PPK(/S) models out of Fort Smith, I'm impressed.

The overall fit and finish looks much nicer than that of my Smith & Wesson PPK/S, which is by no means poorly fit/finished pistol.

Compare the front portion of the slide where it tapers at the muzzle on my S&W PPK/S to a modern Walther Arms USA PPK(/S) to really appreciate the difference.
Granted, this may have been a deliberate aesthetic choice by S&W to make their PPKs lines look more similar to that of their M&Ps, but regardless, it looks better on current production models.

Well, dang....something else for me to look out for. I didn't know they were bringing back a .32acp model, so good on them!

PPK

Put 50 rounds fiocchi and 25 rounds PPU.
No malfunctions.
Hitting 2 inches high left at 15ft maybe me probably not. I like it so far.
Glad it ran good today.
Also shot my favorite 25 acp which is very reliable.
Dirty ammo maybe the PPU.
Double action trigger better than my ppks.

Choices

$1,000 PPK in .32 ACP? About the real world price of 3 Glock 42s in .380 ACP. I'll take the Glocks. Actually I wouldn't trade my one G42 even for the PPK for SD carry.

It's good we have choices, glocks are good guns but I don't care much for them myself.
And this is about the new Walther PPK not so much about self defense.

I love my Walthers, even the S&W iteration. But, I hate that stupid looking extended tang carried along with the design to the next player in the game. They should have corrected Smith's mistake. I carry the Smith sometime's fwiw.
Look at the comparison, it's like a smoke'n hot chick with a face attached to a huge, Jimmy Durante nose?

Great gun, but***

I really like mine. However, be careful unloading a live round manually. Walther is using what is basically a .380 slide with a .380 size breech face instead of a .32 size breech face. Manually retracting the slide, the round simply falls off the extractor before it gets any wear near the ejector.

Live fire it works just fine.
