Just got this back from my gunsmith--

Charcoal blue steel grip frame, both cylinders, and ejector rod housing, Bowen rear sight, case hardened receiver and hammer, Belt Mountain Keith-style base pin, elk stag grips, lanyard ring, four pound trigger job.

That is absolutely gorgeous. I would like to do almost exactly the same thing to a .32 H&R Single Six.

Do you find a real benefit to the Bowen sight? My Single Six's rear sight sight is mildly buggard and I am going to replace it. I already have an OEM one sitting here, but am curious about your opinions on the Bowen.

This is it's big brother, Custom Super Blackhawk .44Magnum. all Power internals, Power #5 grip frame, Bisley hammer, Belt Mountain #5 base pin, barrel band front sight, Bowen rear sight, steel ejector rod housing, custom walnut grips, case hardened frame and charcoal blue steel, etc

My first ever handgun 53 years ago was an old model Single Six. Today it shoots just as good as back then. Also, it's one of the most accurate I own. How does the custom model compare?

Very well thought out mods and well executed by your gunsmith. Btw would you mind if we ask who did the work? You can post his name and info here or pm me. But I like that you knew what you wanted done & the outcome is great. Is the lanyard loop cch as well. Btw that Bowen rear sight blended well with the top strap and frame. Nice small gun with big gun features.

Lanyard ring is charcoal blued. I debated whether to have one installed, but in the end I wanted something kinda unique and classic, so I went with it, and happy that I did.

The lanyard loop is usually found on martial handguns. Like you say it lends a unique look particularly for a SA handgun but it's a classic look that really stands out. On a Ruger there's no chance of destroying the sn, so it's all good.

Tim, that’s a beaut! Did your gunsmith make the grips or just install ones that you already had?

Black, I see you’re a fellow NY’er. Was the work done by Turnbull ?
