Hi all

I'm interested in seeing what firearms you have have purchased or acquired in 2024. Alternatively, what did you get rid of or sell-off?

Just like 2023, I had a slow start to this year. So here is what I bought in 2024:

* S&W Model 3914
* S&W Model 40
* S&W Model 12-2
* S&W Model 28-2
* Heckler & Koch HK4

None of these were expensive buys. I'm still happy to buy "the low hanging fruit" (i.e cheap guns). I did not sell any firearms in 2024.

My Smithalyzer (conveniently located next to the Wayback Machine) shows 45 acquisitions balanced against 32 dispositions for 2024 with 4 days left for corrections in my safe...Sorry, no further data available at this point...:o...Ben

I also went a little crazy with Tisas 1911s... I bought the first on a lark and was so amazed at the quality that I ended up with a bunch.

I got my first ever semi-auto pistol this year in the form of a Glock 33 in .357SIG. I saw it in the display case of a grocery, hardware, gas station, restaurant, post office, gun store on my way to the gym.


I added the +1 mag extensions.

Picked up a 5.56 AR pistol with a 5.5" barrel at gun show for my birthday.
 
I really couldn't tell you. I buy, trade, swap, whatever all the time. I don't know for sure what I've acquired or gotten rid of this year. I know there was one Colt Python, a new blue one, and a 1964 Model 18-2 with the three T's and target stocks and box numbered to the gun. Then in the last month or so I've picked up a BG-2, a Shield 2.0 PC 9mm, and three EZ's, 9mm, 30 SC and 380 acp. I'm sure there have been others but I don't recall them specifically or what I got rid of to make room.

It was a good year for me. Some strange or hard to find handguns made their way into the safe after a few years of not really finding many.

Bought:

14-3 6" SAO
627-PC 5" pre-IL forged frame (grail gun for a long time)
57 4" (missed on a couple of 657 3" auctions...not a bad consolation prize)
Triple Lock .455 Bisley 6.5" shaved to .45ACP/AR
Bernardelli Model 80 .32ACP (consolation for missing on a Benelli M77...but it's not a very good compromise)
17 no dash converted to .17HMR (not here quite yet)

While I add cash to the gun fund, I did end up selling a bunch, especially the older fixed sight guns.

M&P .38 from 1917
early 1917 .45ACP
postwar H-D 5"
14-4 8-3/8"
 
Thanks all for your participation. It’s New Years Eve here in Australia. I’ve just been and bought 2000 x Federal Small Pistol Primers so I think that wraps it up for my 2024!

Happy New Year Moo Moo! We have a bit of a wait here....

Bought several but my favorite is my Drilling. Haven't fired it yet but I did manage to find a couple boxes of 9.3x72R for it.
