For those with experience - how does accuracy compare? I'm interested in cast bullets.

I don’t know how familiar you are with Marlin Levers but they are known to jam if your ammo OAL is just a smidge long. Not familiar with Kieth 170. Marlin Jam requires dropping the lever. One of the complaints re the Ruger 77/357 and 44 was that they would only accept certain lengths of bullets due to the magazine lengths. Several people were frustrated at not being able to shoot the 170 gr Keith bullet, 358429.

The Ruger 77/44 is in production and available now. The new ones I’ve seen are all stainless and synthetic. They come with a threaded barrel. I found a deal on they about 18 months ago and bought 2 of them. One was for my son. No shimming and trigger work required, that people complained about on older ones. I put a 2-7x32 Vortex on mine. It shoots one hole groups at 50yds. About 1 1/2” at 100 and I can ring 9” steel plates all day at 150. I have not seen any of the 77/357 available new yet.
I have a .32-20 and did have a .45-70; no problem with overall length jams, but I can see how it could happen.
I'm looking at the Target ... does it read 1894 Marlin 357 MagnumThis is an 1894 Ruger .357. The data is on the target. Not a cast bullet but still not bad. It's about as good as I can shoot with a red dot sight.
I believe Ruger has stopped making the 77/44 once again. It’s shown “currently available “ on Rugers sight for awhile now. I have a new one from 2017 with wood stock and blued and had decided to sell it to my son in law and went for price checks on completed auctions on GB and there aren’t many. As they always say about Ruger, if a certain gun gets too expensive to make Ruger will stop making it and I believe that has happened once again. I bought mine when Cabelas liquidated them in 2017 for less than $400 before tax. After that they made the treaded model for a couple of years.

or is my eye telling me stories again ...
I'm confused ...post says 1894 Ruger ?
