I think this is only the second Ruger
I have ever bought.
Walked in front of my gunshow table yesterday.
Guess the stag convinced me.

Clean Super Blackhawk....shipped in 1999.

Nice SB. Mine is close to yours, except with a 3.75" barrel. Special Talo edition. Didn't much care for the factory grips, so made my own. The recoil is noticeable, but I love shooting it...a few times. ;) Doesn't seem that long ago, but I bought it new in 2016.

Hope you enjoy your new Ruger.

Nice SBH. Perfect companion for any outdoor venture. That stainless & stag go well together.
I have owned one since the 70's. I have shot thousands of full throttle 240gr JHP loads through that 7 1/2" revolver in metallic sil. I have harvested several big bodied white tails with the same load.
My revolver has the dragoon trigger guard & wears Deaccelerator grips.
Enjoy your new Ruger.

Xfuzz - That is a nice looking rig. Those stags really set it off, and those 4 3/4 inch guns balance well. Mine is the same gun, except I removed the round trigger guard grip frame, and replaced it with a Dragoon style version. I am one of those rare people who don't get slammed by the square back trigger guard. It's a woods walking favorite.

Those 4 5/8" SBHs are just right IMHO. Back before the SBHs were available with the shorter barrels, I had a couple 7.5" guns cut to ~5". The longer SBH grip frames with the square trigger guard and the Bisley type, handle recoil a lot better for me. Some years ago, I shot a buddy's old model .44 Magnum with the regular plow handle type trigger guard. Nope! Not for me. I see one pf the distributors has made a 4 5/8" SBH with Bisley grip frame available. I'm tempted..
