My LGS has a new Inglis P35 on their site.
I know there’s a couple owners on here. Just wondering how they’re holding up mechanically and finish?

The original Inglis Hi Power was made in Canada during WWII. I believe the OP is asking about the reproduction GP-35 by a new Inglis Hi Power by a company based in TN.

Have one. Probably the Best Buy in the HP market currently. Haven’t run a bunch of rounds through mine but it works the way it’s supposed to. Made in Turkey, get them while the exchange rate is in our favor.

I picked up one of the Inglis (SDS) P-35's with the case colored finish. Very well made pistol, inside and out. About 300 rounds thru it so far with no issues. It also uses a hammer similar to the SA version that alleviates hammer bite. Seems accurate and shoots to the sights with 115 ball, which is nice. I like it. Pictured with an engraved SA I picked up at the same time.

Wow! That is georgous in CCH finish. But is this a forged steel frame and slide under the CCH?

The manufacturer states the slide, frame, and barrel are forged steel. They also state the case coloring is real "case hardening". The case finish inside the frame, slide, and other hidden parts tends to lend credence to that claim. I already own a real BHP, and FEG clone, and bought this one mainly on the finish.

EAA’s Hi-Power, the Girsan MC P35, is also imported from Turkey and I believe they are both on the same price range, but I don't know if one is better than the other...

IMHO, BH Springs Solutions Is #1 when it comes to working on Hi Powers. That's whom I had go through my 1961 Browning HP, replace the worn parts (they bought the new old stock of OEM parts from FN when FN stopped making them for a while) and tune it up. Wow--they are awesome, and they work on both, the Inglis, and the EAA, and other clones (like the Hungarians)

If I wanted to buy a less expensive clone, I would talk to them first and see which one they recommend.

they were origonally made in Belgium before WWII but the germany took over the factory...I have several bring backs and they are fantastic shooters...all metal w/wood grips. The canadian ones had plastic or baklite grips,,,either way, they are alot better than a luger

Hi-Powers

I have two original tangent sighted, and one of the new ones. I'm very impressed with the new one. Mine is the nickel one. I like the Magazine safety delete. good trigger Very good looking, not just cerrocoated. Price is right.

Though not the P35 you are asking about, but I do have the Inglis L9A1. I've had it about 2 months with probably around 400 trouble free rounds through it. The finish is nice but I can't speak to the durability yet as I have not carried it or even holstered it yet. I am also in the market for the P35 in nickel finish, probably next on my list to pick up.

I would not hesitate to get another.

My nephew and I put 50 rounds of 115 grain FMJ through his NIB Inglis nickel P-35. Shot 8" center of mass groups at 13 yards. Pistol performed perfectly.

I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it. I currently have the case colored P35 and I owned a L9A1 but traded it for something I had to have. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if the opportunity came up.
