My local range is just over the state line from West Virginia in Maryland.
Does anybody know the legal magazine capacity in Maryland?
I looked online and got some conflicting information.

There may be confusion about Snope v Brown.

Case is in conference in The Supreme Court.

Issue: Whether the Constitution permits the state of Maryland to ban semiautomatic rifles that are in common use for lawful purposes, including the most popular rifle in America.

The magazine limit in MD is ten rounds...you can possess them but you cannot transfer them in any way. You can go out of state and buy 10+ round mags and bring them into the state and you're ok...but if you try to sell them or even loan one to someone you are arguably transferring it.

If you have 10+ round mags you want to sell...simply walk over the line into PA, VA, WV or DE and sell them to your buddy then walk back over the state line and you're perfectly legal.

It makes no sense...but that's MD.

Those magazine you showed in the photo look like Magpul PMAG 10-round. They are the best. We have no magazine limits here in Mississippi, but I have several of those which I use for precision shooting off the bench. I have several Colt 30-round magazines, but rarely use them. I like the 10 and 20-round mags.

Had a friend once ask me this....if you could travel at the speed of light in a car and turned on the head lights would they do any good.....the more I thought about it the more my head wanted to explode......now your response about going over the state line to sell or transfer and coming back being legal is doing the same thing to my brain......

You turn the headlights on before you start. Then their light keeps out in front of you as you go. How else would you see Space Deer?

They are 10 round Magpul PMAG.
There's also no magazine limits here in West Virginia.
I prefer 20 round magazines.

I picked up a coupla 10 round magazines on my way to the gym for using at the Maryland range.

You did the right thing. I picked up a couple 10 rounders too since the Maryland border is only 3 miles away and I don't want to attract unnecessary attention and have to explain what the law is.

I would figure MD would have some kind of stricter gun rules than PA or WV. Heck, if I could shoot a bow and qualify I could sign up to help cull the herd in the city here. Now I see they're looking for sharpshooters.I could kill 'em with a spear just in my area!
At the state Game Commission-run range there's a 6 shot limit cylinder or mags, but if not those 15 yard lines' target backing material would need changed daily. That's different, though, from the subject at hand sort of.
Edit: Nice gun; it looks brand new.

Thanks, it is new. Haven't even shot it yet but looking forward to it.

According to Einstein, the speed of light is constant from any frame of reference. So yes, a light would do some good even if the light was mounted on a source traveling at the speed of light. Just a moment...

It sounds like you are mis interpreting what he said.

If you are traveling at the speed of light and turn on the head light on your space ship. The light "emitted" would only travel as fast as your spaceship, which is already traveling at the speed of light. In short, the light would never even leave the headlight.

Have to ask...is Maryland part of the USA or the USSR? Just asking for a friend.

20 rd mags for SHTF
30rd mags for TEOTWAWKI
10rd mags for the range with the AR and/or my Ruger Ranch rifle!

That's a good answer.

In the past I had some biggins but only used them once to be sure they functioned well. Of course, when the law changed I destroyed them so I would not be illegal.

I HAVE heard of people that kept them, though. But that's another story.

Even when I had them I only put 5 rounds in anyway. At the cost of ammo, to me it just seemed like a waste of money. My shooting objective has always been to hit the bullseye, not spray the backstop.

So, other than the scenarios listed above, why does anyone need more than 10 round mags?
