What is this Savage with model 899

I have savage lever action, tapered take down with no pistol grip with serial no#256621 please can some one help me. To let me know what model this is, Savage Arms Historian says it could have been mis marked because is stamped 899 Model, I just want to know what this gun is worth does anyone knows

1899 would be the model stamped on the barrel. You have a 99 Savage of some ilk. Could you post pictures? What caliber? Barrel length? Round, octagon, or half and half barrel? What kind of buttplate? Sights?
