Glock 34

I have one in Gen3. It´s one of my favorites in 9x19 caliber. A very accuracy long slide gun with better trigger than Glock 17. Go ahead!!!

I've had a few Gen 3 and Gen 4, Glock 34s and 35s over the last 10 or so years. Really liked the idea of the long sight radius. These are the best range guns in the Glock lineup IMHO.
That said, I never really warmed up to any of the Glock line despite repeated attempts to adapt to them. Grip angle, grip shape and trigger characteristics (even after much work) left me luke warm. I really prefer the characteristics of my M&P Pro 5" models instead. Your experience may differ. People either seem to love them, or not.

p.s. If you decide to buy one, try the trigger first. My most recent " competition ready" Gen 4 G34 had a HORRIBLE trigger out of the box.

I haven't tried a 34, but I love my 17L. Soft shooting, fun, and the adjustable factory sights are an added bonus.

Not exactly but I have a 35 and a lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel. It runs perfect, even using the 40 cal mags. New shooters always seem to prefer it. I like mine. Great trigger, sites, long site radius, soft recoil. I don't miss the money I gave for it, or the 9mm and 357 sig barrels

Go for it

I have a stock Model 34 and it is indeed a great gun. As that extra bit of barrel doesn't really impact concealment, I carry my Model 34 concealed on occasion in an IWB holster I made from scrap leather.

I shoot both handloads and factory ammo except +P and +P+. The handholds follow published data using plated bullets, never exposed lead bullets. I've owned the gun about seven years and I've yet to experience a stoppage of any kind.

I've got the same setup and love it.

Love the G34, if you like Glocks then there is nothing but happiness here. If you don't like Glocks then it's just another Glock.

My son carries a Glock 34 as his duty weapon. I own 1 Glock and it is a 34
not my favorite semi auto, like the Walther PPQ better but the Glock does function well and I can hit what I am it with it.

I too have a Gen3 G34. I do like the extra length and have used this handgun in IDPA and local 2-, 3-gun matches. It is box stock except for a set of Dawson fixed sights (fiber optic front w/black rear) and a stainless steel guide rod. It has a pretty good trigger (for a Glock) out of the box. I typically use 124 grn bullets (factory or my on reloads). Mine is strictly competition pistol.

I have a 3rd gen G34 and G35. Many thousands of rounds through both guns with zero malfunctions. I will be shooting USPSA with my G35 this year and Steel Challenge with my G34 this year.

As others have said, if you like Glock, you will love a G34. If not, just another plastic fantastic.

I appreciate everyone's responses to my original post . I have a Glock 19 Gen 4 that I have been using for concealed carry for about 3 yrs. It took me a while to warm up to a polymer handgun .While I still can't describe it as attractive I have very much grown to appreciate it's simplicity and reliability ....very important attributes in a gun you may need to depend on in a self defense situation. I also retired my Ruger Security Six .357 to the gun safe and have replaced it with the G19 as my bedside gun as well. I trust this gun .
I have also enjoyed using it in steel plate matches and the odd USPSA match as well . Because of it's primary use as a self defense gun I don't want to mess with the trigger pull on it and have left it as it basically came from the factory with the exception of tritium night sights.
I was thinking of purchasing the G34 for use in various matches and informal target shooting so I can feel free to change or modify the trigger as well as any other aspect of the gun to suit my needs. Also it's longer sight radius over the G19 should help in the accuracy department ....in theory at least.
Thanks again to those who took the time to reply.

I believe it's the best all-around Glock. Mine is a Gen3 with the custom backstrap mod that I believe is now done by Robar (though most people just buy a newer model). Old school xenon Glock light and Trijicons make it my bedside buddy.
