Review was positive and I like the separate grip frame that covers the hammer spring housing which appears to be integral to the frame. Like the old style look to it. In all honesty though the price point is steep and for the price they want one can get a good K or L frame revolver or a Ruger.
I wish Henry well and hope they sell a ton of them.

I'm sure it's a well made gun and shoots fine, but it looks like they stole the design from Iver Johnson. Should have stolen it from S&W.

I'm very pleased with mine. Design, looks and function.
Seems many members here are not too excited...to put it mildly.

I haven't changed my opinion, no matter how well they may now be selling. Aesthetics aside, I still think they're the answer to a question nobody was asking.

My experience has positively convinced me that if it is a HENRY it has to be good. Based on what I have read on this Forum and my own personal experience with a new Performance Center Revolver I can no longer say that about S&W.

I have heard only good things about the quality of the HENRY guns. I just don't happen to have a reason to buy one.

I'm sure it is great, well made in America. At 1st glance I saw a resemblance to the Colt's "Lightning" but that's just me. I too wish them the best. Joe

My main issue with it is that it's far too highly priced for its set of features.
It should be several hundred lower, or be in stainless steel with fully adjustable sights to even begin to command such a price. I think that the grip-frame should also have been designed differently. One, to take the myriad of existing Smith grips. That, or perhaps the 'stud' like a modern Ruger to take all of their grip options.

I think this analysis is spot-on, and goes to the heart of what the problem will be (once the novelty factor has worn off) with the Big Boy's long term prospects in the marketplace. Henry's MSRP (in either grip configuration) is a mere $31 less than that of S&W's current iteration of the standard 686, which is obviously way more gun for the money.

This is just my personal opinion...... Don't mean to discourage anyone from buying one, or insult anyone if they already have, this is just what I think.

I thing the new Henry Revolvers are just plain ugly! I can't judge how well they are built because I have not seen one in person yet, but unless someone who I shoot with gets one, I doubt I ever will.

They are expensive too! For the same price I can easily buy a brand new Colt Revolver or a vintage S&W - which are both high quality. Nope - no Henry's in my future!

I love vintage S&W pre-2000ish but I'm not sure I agree a new 686 is way more gun. What I also like about the Henry 357, other than its overall vintage & attractive appearance, is the minimal markings on the exterior. No unnecessary round openings drilled into side of frame. No needless warnings on the barrel. Its easy to remove cylinder with push of a button. Excellent fit and finish. Of course this is a S&W forum and I understand the brand loyalty but I am baffled by the disdain for the new Henry...but as has already been stated, "To each his own". My only ask from Henry is additional calibers and options in the future.

Might be a solid, functional revolver but priced too high and just plain ugly. Looks like a mixture of H&R, Iver Johnson, and RG. As stated in previous posts, why spend that much when a vintage Smith or Ruger revolver can be had for the same or maybe lower price. Henry is a well respected company and I believe they could have come up with a better design for their first venture into the handgun market.
