Lyman trigger pull gauge

I am glad I have my Lyman trigger pull gauge. It does take a bit of practice to get repeatable results but it is a fine tool for the shop or range. I especially am appreciative of the fact it will easily handle "light pull double stage triggers" as well as set triggers. Of course, it works perfectly with "standard triggers", also.

I'm thinking that one has a 8# range?

Try 25# on the RCBS "Tru-Weight Sports Scale."
Best I've found for double action revolver trigger measurements. :)
I bought mine at Cabela's Ft Worth store.

The "smaller" RCBS "fish scale" type I have maxes at 4 1/2 lbs. It can be handy and works well if used with a weight for accurate reads above 4 1/2 lbs.

I have owned one for five years and used it weekly, it gives you a very accurate reading provided you do your part. One thing you will find is The angle you pull the trigger from will vary the scale reading. I normally rest the butt of the gun and end of the barrel on a shop towel, holding the gun by the barrel pull the Gage parallel to to the barrel and record your readings.

For revolver work you can pull the trigger six times and the scale will give you the average.
