OK, let us have a good food thread. How many are having Turducken this season?

Bonus points for yankees that can correctly list the ingredients.

Aw come on,
Turkey,Duck,Chicken
I hear that even a Pigeon is good cooked inside another bird.
I friend or mine here in PA likes Pheasants inside turkeys.

I have listened to descriptions of that dish being prepared on the radio for years. Then I saw it on Tv.
Haven't had a chance to partake yet, but I will if I ever get a chance to.

It sounds delicious.

Turducken...bah..childs play.

The largest recorded nested bird roast is 17 birds, attributed to a royal feast in France in the early 19th century (originally called a Rôti Sans Pareil, or "Roast without equal") - a bustard stuffed with a turkey, a goose, a pheasant, a chicken, a duck, a guinea fowl, a teal, a woodcock, a partridge, a plover, a lapwing, a quail, a thrush, a lark, an Ortolan Bunting and a Garden Warbler.[4] The final bird is very small but large enough to hold just an olive; it also suggests that, unlike modern multi-bird roasts, there was no stuffing or other packing placed in between the birds. It appears to be illegal to make today as some of the species are endangered.

Now thats a meal!

A friend of mine used to own a fine dining restaurant. We went in on Xmas eve when it was closed and used the kitchen to prepare a Turducken. It was wonderful when complete, but it was hard to make.

Yum. Wish we had taken pictures. It fed a bunch of people.

nothing with feathers on it is fit for human consumption

I felt that I should add that pigeons are simply doves largely magnified. If you like doves you like pigeons. (Well, I do, anyway.)

I'm not eating anything that starts with ****. I don't care what you stuff in it or wrap it with. I'll never get past the name.

While deployed to Afghanistan I ate a little Swallow or Finch in some type of gravy....
