At what point time-wise and model-wise did S&W start putting internal locks on the Mod. 60? Are all Mod. 60 revolvers made now .357 magnum compatible? I don't have my S&W book so I have to rely on forum members for my questions. Thanks very much for the help.

I think the model 60-9 was the last variation without the internal lock, not sure of the year though.
 
My model 60-10 does not have the lock. It is the 3" 357 version, but I'm not quite sure of the year it was made (1998?) wyatte

2001, with the 60-14 and higher changes.

Yes, all current production model 60s on their website are .357s.
