S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread

I love the 3913 and think it makes a great carry gun, it is pleanty accurate for a self defense gun.

bg-How do you like the 3913? I'm even considering this one for carry and was curious about it's accuracy...I know it's reliable.

Damn!! Does anyone know how hard it is to see this thread and look at all these Bitchen weapons and know you own a 945 but have to wait till Wednesday (Brady Bill, 10 day wait) to post your pics? I also have an M&P 40 at the gunsmith (putting on tritium sites).

I could show you my Ruger GP100 in stainless, but whats the point?

Anyway, here's my faves S&W..

Here's a picture of S&W's very first semiauto pistol, plus the extremely rare ammo it fired.

So you can find out more about it, I devoted a chapter on it in my book 101 Classic Firearms. It can be purchased online here:

My 39-2

Wanted to show you my 39-2. Just got it back from Cylinder & Slide. I really like the finish. It's the first semi auto I carried in LE in the early 80's. ( I think; can't remember that far back).
So, what do you think?

That's a fine looking pistol.....what all did you have done to it and can you give us any details on the finish?

Yes it is, but remember, NY has it worse and DC...handguns are non existent. But I am special, though...all my handguns have to be California approved, which means there better than all the other states handguns. Right? ;)

Yup, we're still very lucky.:D

reply to bob
