S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread

Wanted to show you my 39-2. Just got it back from Cylinder & Slide. I really like the finish. It's the first semi auto I carried in LE in the early 80's. ( I think; can't remember that far back).
So, what do you think?

That's a fine looking pistol.....what all did you have done to it and can you give us any details on the finish?

Yes it is, but remember, NY has it worse and DC...handguns are non existent. But I am special, though...all my handguns have to be California approved, which means there better than all the other states handguns. Right?

Shoots like a dream, fortunately my barrel and slide are fitted very well. The trigger needs some work to it, but the best gun I have ever owned.

Did you ceramicote the frame and slide or just the frame?

So back in March, I bought this lill number at a local gun show. She my first and yes she's a 4013TSW

got tired of the high prices on holsters so I made them. One IWB and one OWB and a couple mag holders.

Then just yesterday I received another 4013TSW from another member Jlank, thanks to this forum.

First meeting

Now, Im already thinking of a collection to go for..
4013 single stack
I already have the first 4013TSW without the rail. Make that two of them.
and thirdly, the last 4013TSW with the rail.

That would be the 3 versions of the 4013 that I know of.
then I could add the 4013TSW arisoft in black....

Wish I could find new grips for the 6590.

It looks like a 5900 series grip would fit your 6590.

I ordered a set from Brownells and it didn't come with the insert for the back strap, just a cover. Mine needs the rubber or metal insert and it's very hard to find anymore.

It sounds as though you may have received a model 59 grip. Your's will need the newer 5900 one-piece grip. Hogue offers one if you're looking for a rubber grip.
