Some time ago I bought a M66-5 3", shot a few rounds through it, then stuffed it into the safe. Had forgotten it was there until last week.

I'm somewhat out of the S&W loop anymore, but has time treated this revolver well ($)?

Should I be trying to sell it or pack it?

THX!

Your handgun has become extremely desirable to S&W collectors. Keep it or sell it, but if you do sell it get your pound of flesh for it. ... Big Cholla

This gun may be worth some good money...I need to see it to tell....send it to me ..I'll clean it up for you and send it back..lol..

My son sold one for $800. Got it in a trade and doesn't like revolvers. I guess I raised him wrong...;)

I wish I had problems like forgotten 3" Combat Magnums taking up space in the back of my safe. :)

Does your 3" 66-5 look like one of these?

As new they will sell for between $600. to $800.
Depending on who is selling ,and who is buying.

Somewhat, with Badger grips. That's her on top with a couple of her 3" sisters.

Just adding a new pic from the afternoon - futzing around with the flash and got a useful pic of my 66-3:

...I generally prefer N-frames, but this gun has really, really grown on me. Picked it up for a good price earlier this year partly because the gunshop had mislabeled it as a 2.5"; but after putting some combat grips on it and shooting it a few times I'm convinced this is one model whose popularity (and corresponding price) is pretty understandable.

I thot the 66-5 'snub nose' had a 3.25" barrel, not a 3" barrel?
