I have a 460S&W 8 3/8" barrel and have found that when i use reloads that the point of impact changed dramatically in comparison to the Hornady 200gr factory ammo ,the reloads are hitting approximatly 6inches high at 50metres (after i adjusted down)and i dont have enough downward adjustment left on the rear sight to bring the point of impact down.Wandering if any of you fellas can give me some advice regarding this issue and wandering if anyone else has experienced this.Any help and advice greatly appreciatted.

Regards AC

350gr? Well, there is is, mate.
You need a taller front sight for those heavies.

You can get shorter sight blades for the rear sight. I don't know if the X-frames are the same as the rest. But it would be your easiest and cheapest way to go.

Maybe someone will chime in with some info on height and availability of a suitable replacement.

You could just file the rear blade down:eek:

I would try to go one size smaller on the rear blade. Measure the blade height you have now, and try one size smaller as a first step. If the front sight is removable (pinned) then a taller front sight will lower the impact point.

Thanks for the help fellas much appreciated. Will go with a .300 partridge front sight with the gold bead and a shorter rear sight blade and see how i go.
