I am looking for the 15-22 in the Flat Dark Earth version. Does anyone know if any dealers have these in stock? Are they harder to get? Thanks

I don't think they come from SW like that.. I think they are only available in black, unless something changed.. This was the setup I wanted as well but was told the SW MP15 comes this way but not the SW Mp15-22...

it looks like they just sell custom 15-22 and jack the price up. it would probably be cheaper to take a standard 15-22 and dress it up like that and then you have spare parts.

You can get them here. G&R Tactical, however they are currently out of stock. They said they should ahve a new shipment in about 1 to 2 weeks.

My class III dealer found one in stock for just a little more. About
what I would pay him to do a transfer. Thanks

Those are some great prices. At my local Gander Mt., they're selling the plain stock ones for $449. I would prefer the OD Green though.

This place purports to have it in stock. It says you must register to see details, but it hints at a price (feature) of $452.72 (could just be a tease) -
S&W M&P15-22 22LR 16" 25RD FDE

This place also says it's in stock at $543.55:
Sporting Long Guns - Smith & Wesson - M&P 15 - S&W M&P15-22 22LR 16inch 25RD FDE

And these folks say they have 301 of them in stock at $507.00 each.

You could just get a standard one, get some FDE duracoat, and paint it yourself. :)

Buds Gun Shop online in the LE section for $437

Here is the difference from the MOE version to the standard version.

Threaded barrel, $30
Fold-up BUIS, $80
MOE Stock, $50
MOE Grip, $20

Much better deal buying put together then trying to build it yourself. Just my thought process though

I'm looking for the same gun. I contacted S&W customer service and they told me they were in stock. You just need the dealer (or the distributor) to place an order.

The Dark Earth MOE is the same price as the black MOE. There is no premium for the color.

If you do find a dealer with stock and a decent price (under $500 retail) please let me know.

I just purchased mine this weekend from these guys from the post a few above.

Just faxed them the FFL today and hope it arrives by this Friday so I can go sign and then the good old 10 day jail time :D

The only problem with that supplier is the price. If Davidson's had the gun it would be $60 less from my local dealer that fulfills Davidson's orders, not counting the FFL holder's fee to transfer the gun. Since the cheapest FFL holder I know of charges $15 that makes the gun $75 more. That's just too much in my book. If Davidson's doesn't get the Dark Earth eventually I'll probably just buy the black MOE instead and save the money.

where's their standard retail of $729 coming from? thats laughable, and there have probably been zero sold at that price throughout the entire production run.

Davidson's is going to stock this gun now. Should have them in stock in a couple of weeks.
