Did I really just see a banner ad for Senator Patty Murray on the S&W forum. That's just sad. Pardon me while I step outside and vomit.

Anyone who votes for old Patty doesn't care much for gun rights or any rights at all. I'm sickened of seeing her mug on every new section start I'm done for the day . . . hopefully she'll be gone when I return. Why would anyone take money from the devil? Good grief . . . .

As we've said before, and before, and....

Google ads are random, and not chosen by us. I don't see that ad because Google is smart enough to show them to people in her area.

CONSOLE yourself with this- that ad was WASTED on you. Her advertising money was WASTED by showing that ad to YOU.
Don't you wish "we" were the only people who see "their" ads?
;)

See my post above.
Wrong move.
Every presentation of that ad you see is one LESS that will be shown to someone else on another website.
In other words, take one for the team.

Oh, I wondered why I was seeing those ads. Local political ads are on so many sites that I visit that I thought my computer had been hacked.

They must be targeting you guys on the west side for that particular form of nasty ad. I haven't seen a single one being over here on the east side. I am sure the Murray campaign has already written off the east side. :)

Thank you HandEjector for that sage perspective. I will indeed sleep well tonight knowing Patty threw her money down the rat hole. :D

I think most here realize that you don't personally select the ads that run... but it's always a great opportunity to blow steam and relieve pent up frustrations if you can get to the range on any given day.

Am I the only one who never even notices those ads? After reading stuff like this, I kinda wish I had paid attention. Lee is absolutely right, those ads cost money, money that is absolutely WASTED on this audience. That means they will have less to spend someplace where it could have done some good.
I am amused by the reactions I hear about ads, especially negative ones. I actually think they're amusing, and when they're not, well, that's what the mute button is for. I recently became friends with a very nice lady who happens to be a member of the Iowa State Legislature. She is a conservative Democrat running for re-election. She was asking me my opinion about the negative ads. I told her that in my case, I have never based my decision on who to vote for on information in an ad. I pay attention to issues, and I am well informed. Unfortunately, most people are ill-informed. These are the people who are swayed by ads, and unfortunately, some of them vote.
Do a little experiment. Ask people you know if they can name their Congessperson. I'll bet the majority have no idea, but they can tell you who won on Dancing With the Stars.

i guess google isnt that smart after all...

i dont mind the ads. it helps lee keeep this place rolling

funny, here in the bay area, most the congress critters are so entrenched Christ himself could come down and run as a republican and lose. im not seeing any ads. i see the gear ads and front sight course ads.
