Just got my MOE in FDE, and the mag is FDE also!

Hi All,

All the pictures I have seen of the FDE version had a black magazine in them. Today I finally got my rifle (I want to go to the range, like, right now! ) and the magazine is Dark Earth, not black! Has anyone else received a new FDE version lately? Did yours come with a black or FDE magazine (25 round)?

Does anyone know if additional magazines are available anywhere in FDE yet? I don't see them on the S&W accessory site so I'm assuming they're new and probably aren't available except on the rifle itself.

I knew that was coming! Since my other "shooting" hobby is photography I was going to wait to take some good pictures at a studio, but I guess I'll have to snap a quick shot to show the FDE mag. I'll try to put something up later tonight.

Ok, it's not a very good picture, but it's a picture so you can see the FDE mag. I contacted S&W and the customer service rep didn't even know they made the mag in FDE but he was able to find a part number and they are going to make it available as an accessory. But he told me it will probably take a few weeks.

Awesome. It looks like I'm waiting before picking up that 5th and final magazine I've been planning on getting. 1 long, 1 long with ranger plate, 2 short and 1 long in FDE will be a nice mix I'd say.

It's molded in color. I worked my way through college in an injection molding company and painting a molded piece is usually not cost effective unless the color is super critical. They did it right and molded the color right in!

Of course, you can MOE any 15-22 by replacing the stock and pistol grip with the Magpul parts. You don't have to buy a completely new rifle...

Pretty cool. Wish I had waited on purchasing 2 of them. I've spent a ton of money threading barrels and buying Magpul crap to put on both of mine. If I waited I would have saved some money and got a matching mag.
