FBI Non-Reg Magnum shipped 3/7/1940 to an FBI agent in Seattle, WA. SA Bise was Hoover's Chief of Staff between 1940-1945.

Enjoy :)

Someone on the forum has 61115 and it shipped 3 weeks earlier on 2/13/40. You two should flip a coin to see who gets to have a consecutive pair of RMs.

sounds like a good cover story for the SWCA newsletter; pictures and stories of 3 consecutive #'d RM's would be a cool collaboration article.

Love that 4"er

Chuck:

If I remember correctly, that 357 spent some time with a certain LadyFed FBI friend of yours;). I love the new photos, particularly the one with the badge. The letter is very cool as well. Amazing that the Agency price was only $36.45 when the retail price was $60.

Thanks for sharing.

Richard, it still does. :) She let me loose with her guns today so I thought I'd post some new pics of this one.

I've got this one:

Its was a St Joseph, MO, PD gun:

that later became an FBI gun when I bought it and put it on my POW list.

If 61113 is out there it would be cool to get them all in one thread.

When they ship the same gun with identical features to the KCPD it is nearly worthless as a collector's item( at least according to some of the posters here). Is the same thing true when it goes to the FBI?

I have 608XX and it was shipped Jan 30, 1940 to Kansas City PD.

That's about as good as it gets in my book. A used but very well taken care of gun with a pretty cool history. A box run through it every now and then would only keep it seasoned.
Saxon, I think the combination of the low pre-war rear sight and the post-war like front sight base of the Baughman front sight required that the blade be low.
