pulling the trigger for slide release

Is there a reason why pulling the trigger to release the slide , any better/worse than using the sear lever inside the port?
Seems lots faster, and easier than pulling out the tool in the grip, and flipping the wire inside the port.

It's a safety feature S&W implemented to get you to look into the chamber to see that it's empty.

BTW, you don't HAVE to use the "tool" in the grip. Anything that fits into the space and that can push down on the sear release lever is functional.

It's essentially more government meddling. Seems the government does not believe in the process of natural selection (what would you expect from a socialist state) and is trying to fix it so that gun owners too stupid to check the chamber of their gun before cleaning it can't accidentally purge themselves from the gene pool.

take out mag/check chamber/activate takedown lever/ pull trigger.

It the way I've done all the Glock/MP/XD. just forget using the lever and life will go on.

It's faster to use a little screwdriver if all your mags are loaded.

If you insert an empty mag into the mag well you cannot remove the slide as it will get caught on the mag follower. If you have the mag saftey you can insert a finger into the mag well and defeat the mag saftey and be able to remove the slide by pulling the trigger instead of using the sear disconnect.
